I recommend taking newborn photos, within two weeks of the birth, so that you are all as comfortable as you can be. That way, we’ll have the time and space to capture your family together, as well as taking some sweet newborn portraits while they’re still sleepy and calm.
Like all of my work, I take a lifestyle approach to newborn photography – this means no awkward poses or forced smiles. Just time to relax and take in this wonderful little person you created.

When it comes to family photos, whether you have big kids or little kids, the most important thing is making sure you’re all comfortable.
Creating a human is a miraculous thing, and it’s something you should celebrate. Even if you’re overwhelmed now, you’ll love being able to look back and remember this time.
I recommend planning maternity portraits for the 30-week mark, so that you have that beautiful bump but moving around isn’t too hard.
It doesn’t just have to be about you, either! Maternity portraits are an opportunity to celebrate your relationship and reconnect with your partner. And including your older kids can be a lovely way to let them know they’re important, too.
