I’m all about capturing the heart of your business—whether it’s through branding photos that showcase your leadership, creativity, and impact in your industry. From entrepreneurs launching their next big venture to established leaders looking to elevate their personal brand, I’ve got you covered.
I'm Karen, and I’m here to help you tell your brand’s story with confidence.
This very special Inclusive Sydney Branding Photography Day took the stress out of planning branding photos and it was amazing chance for Sydney Small Businesses to update their imagery.
No matter what the situation, choosing to be photographed can be daunting – yes, this is true even for branding photography! I’m on a mission though to make branding photography as fun and as freeing as I know it can be. Last year, it occurred to me that one of the things that might be stopping you is finding a venue, a hair and make up artist, and all the rest, so I decided to make it as easy as possible by hosting my first inclusive Sydney Branding Photography Day.
I’m sure you might be wondering – what actually is a branding photography day? Well, if you’ve ever heard of a mini session, it’s basically that but for businesses. I set out in search of a dreamy location and hair and makeup artists so that everything would be taken care of for the small businesses who booked. That way, the businesses wouldn’t need to worry about a thing – just show up, get a little pampered, and leave with a beautiful gallery of images to represent their brand.
When you book branding photography with me, I want you to be able to use the images to represent your business for the long-term. For that to happen, your photos need to represent you and your business without being too ‘on-trend’. The last thing you want is for people to be able to tell exactly which year you took your images! Bell Heath Estate in the Hawkesbury was the perfect venue for this reason. It has plenty of white space as well as multiple different minimal settings, and it provided privacy so that everyone felt relaxed and at ease on the day.
Having your hair and make u done for your branding photography will not only add a little something to the photos, but that extra touch will leave you feeling pampered and at your best. I wanted all of my Inclusive Sydney Branding Photography Day participants to feel their very best, and so I teamed up with Pam from Pamela M Hair and Eloise Proust MUA to do just that! Working with these incredible women was such a great experience, and I know the businesses we worked with loved having them there as well.
The day itself was such an amazing day! We worked with some incredible small business owners who were excited to have more than just a simple headshot. Some of them like Alana from Dancer and Dasher, brought some amazing props, which really added to their photos. Alana is a Christmas tree stylist, and her gold and red Christmas Decorations were so much fun!
I’d spoken with each business owner beforehand, son that we could plan out a beautiful shoot and really make the most of our time. It was so exciting to see those plans play out on the day, and I’ve loved seeing the photos being used across social media to grow and represent some amazing Sydney Small Businesses.
