I’m all about capturing the heart of your business—whether it’s through branding photos that showcase your leadership, creativity, and impact in your industry. From entrepreneurs launching their next big venture to established leaders looking to elevate their personal brand, I’ve got you covered.
I'm Karen, and I’m here to help you tell your brand’s story with confidence.
The first thing I do when I’m thinking about buying something? I’ll go to the website’s About page to see who’s behind the business, if there are photos available, and check them out on social media.
No surprise that the About page is the second most visited page on a website. Most people (including me!) want to know who owns the business, what they look like, and whether their values or what they’re saying align with me.
90% of the information a human brain processes daily is visual. So, if you feel your current images for your business are not representing your vision, and you’re wondering if it’s worth investing in a photographer to take business photos, read on…
The right images can help sell your products or services online 24/7, without the customer ever picking up the phone to find out how you are as a person. Research has shown that the more images you include in your product description, the higher the chances of someone buying it!
Now you’re almost convinced that you need images but tempted to take some yourself or have your intern or office manager snap a few photos, and then upload them on your site.
The average person reads only 20% of what you tell them but will stop and view every image. So, if your images are not getting them to feel something or feel meh, they may never buy from you. The more you charge in your business, the more important your images become. Imagine if Audi used poor quality photos on their site and marketing, no one would spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy the cars.
If you want to attract the customers you really want, but it’s not happening, start by reviewing what images you’re showing them.
“I wanted my photos to show professionalism and look polished to show people I could be trusted with their business. I also wanted my brand photos to reflect that I was an expert. After I saw Karen’s work, I was like wow! and decided to work with her,” Cindy, Zeug.Studio
Here are 3 reasons why you should hire a business branding photographer to take professional photos even if you’re a small business owner.
Want to increase your engagement on social media? Use visuals and text to increase likes, shares, and followers. Remember that humans are wired to remember images. When text is combined with a visual, recall shoots up from 10% to 65%.
Does your business have a cheeky or fun-loving brand personality? Using images helps painta picture better than telling them you’re fun or cheeky.
Photos help you build an emotional connection with your audience, and people buy based on emotions, not logic.
Close your eyes and think about your favourite brand (the one you can’t live without). What’s the first thing that comes to mind? I bet it was an image!
Would high-endmobiles like Apple do well without the imagery? How about Maccas and their golden arches? It’s no wonder that as soon as we see the golden arches, we know there’s a Maccas there. So do our kids!
Having polished brand images for your business shows your audience you care about what you’re selling. Poor lighting, DIY images, and amateur poses show carelessness and a lack of attention to detail.
In the digital era, where a prospect sees your website and Instagram feed first before they reachout, the right images can help you develop a unique identity, attract your customer in for a browse, book a meeting or send you an inquiry.
PS: In a business setting, having corporate images of you or staff looking polished, professional, and relaxed gives your audience confidence that you’re the right business.
Your brain, your customer’s brain, and mine is wired to remember images more than words.
Branded photos can help you create a unique identity, be seen and remembered online by your audience and ideal customers. Social media platforms are visual so using consistent images to represent your brand will form a positive association and recall. Most importantly, your audience will remember you over your competition.Remember George Clooney and the Nespresso ad?
Not having the right images for your business means missed opportunities in an already crowded market where every business is fighting to be seen.
Investing in the right photos that shows your products, team or you, will help you build a strong brand and connect with your audience more meaningfully. Stock images are no longer ideal and will put your audience off especially if they’re looking for ways to connect with you. 7 out of 10 buyers say images are very important when making a buying decision.
Professional photos are even more important for small businesses because you are the face of your business online. Show them who you really are and what you stand for in your photos. The branding photographer can help guide you on what types of images work best for you or your business and help you create a visual identity that’ll wow your customer from the first image they see!

“Having my business photos done professionally gave me time back. Especially as a designer, it’s difficult trying to source images that are relevant to you and your brand that give you that differentiation. Having my photoshoot with Karen made it so much easier for me to create all my marketing collateral,” Cindy, Zeug.Studio
FAQs
1. What’s the difference between a personal branding photoshoot and a business branding photoshoot?
Personal branding photography is a lot like branding photography because it’s about having visuals that represent a brand in a way that connects with its ideal audience or clients. The difference is that personal branding is specifically for brands with a human representing it e.g., copywriter or blogger or anyone else who personally represents their brand online. Business branding photography usually represents the business, and/or the team behind it, not the person who created the business.
