I am so excited for your upcoming photoshoot! A photoshoot booked through me is wholly focused on slowing down and really appreciating the long embraces and the subtleties of affection. During your session I will encourage you to make the time to say the words we don’t always stop to say that can bring out the best and brightest in those you love.

    

From start to finish

  

Booking of session

Once you have confirmed your date and time, I will shoot through a client portal that will have your invoice, questionnaire and contract to be reviewed and signed. Once your non refundable retainer has been paid your session will be confirmed and I will hold the date exclusively for you.

Please be sure to fill out questionnaire before our session. This allows me to get to know you better and be prepared for our session.

   

Photo shoot time!

This is when the magic happens! Try to relax and have fun! Please don’t stress if the kids aren’t cooperating. I always follow their lead and allow them to be themselves. Kids can smell our stress and anxiety!.

    

Editing time!

Your photos will take 3-4 weeks to be edited. I edit images that I love the most and enhance them to make each one perfect.

    

What to wear?

 

 COMPLEMENT & COORDINATE BUT DON’T GET TOO MATCHY!
LETS LEAVE WHITE TOPS & JEANS IN THE 90S!

Find a colour palette that you love and choose outfits that compliment each other without looking too matchy-matchy. I want everyone to look unique and portray their individual style. Opt for neutrals with a few pops of colour or a softer palette that has different ranges in tone of the same shades. Stay away from ‘blue jeans and a white t-shirt’ for everyone or outfits that don’t allow personality

Suggestions:

We are creating a memory of your favourite day. I want you to choose clothing that reflects who you are as a person and makes you feel beautiful and confident. The following are my personal recommendations and I am happy to help you select the best clothing for your session!

For the women and girls

Long flowy dresses help create a feeling of movement and emotion in your images.

Choose solid colours or timeless prints that compliment your skin tone. You can find amazing pieces at Esther and Co, Target, ASOS, The iconic and St Frock to name just a few.

I also highly recommend wearing your hair down for added impact in your images.

For men and boys:

V neck t-shirts and button ups in solid neutral colours; white, stone, grey, navy (not too dark) and fitted shorts or pants (cargo, denim).

These are by no means rules, and if you have more eclectic tastes and love lots of colour I encourage you to put as much of your personality into your clothing selection as possible!.

Don’t forget about accessories! I love lots of rings, beautiful long necklaces and hats of every kind!

Some of my sessions take place at the beach, so if you’re comfortable being photographed in your bathing suit, PLEASE DO IT!. In this way we are able to get very different looks from the same session. Be sure to bring a change of clothes to ride home in!

IN HOME PHOTO SESSION

This session will take place in your own home, preferably in the lounge room, master bedroom, backyard and the children’s bedroom. Do not worry about your house being a mess – I know how chaotic life can be!.

All you need to do to prepare is;

• Open the blinds/curtains to let in as much light as possible.

• If possible, we will need the home to be warm, allowing bub to be happy and cosy while taking portraits.

• Have the master bed made with a neutral/quilt comforter on top/ Your bed makes a great place for cuddly family photos!.

• Let me know of any activities that you as a family enjoy doing together at home i.e cooking, playing in the backyard, arts and crafts. I will try to include this in your gallery to create a story of life at home.

  

STUDIO PHOTO SESSION

I am so excited to host you in my styled home studio. I have worked very hard to make this space perfect for those that wish to relax and be spoiled.

I do ask that all those who enter, take shoes off before coming in and sanitize their hands.

OUTDOOR SESSION

Outdoor sessions are my jam! Children have the opportunity to run around, be themselves and enjoy the outdoors. Your session will be filled with so much imagery of big smiles, hugs and kisses. I love to capture the natural interaction between families and to show you having fun! The photoshoot will be done spontaneously where I will be providing you with gentle fun prompts to encourage candid hugs and kisses between you and your family.

Here are some tips to help you

• A well-rested kid is a happy kid! Please make sure your young kids have a nap before the session. This will ensure that your session runs smoothly when the little ones are happy. I want them to have fun and enjoy the photo session as much as the adults.

• Please don’t take anything with you that you don’t want to show on the photographs for example handbags, huge jackets that you may want to take off or kids’ bags.

• Please make sure you have insect repellant on to avoid being bitten by any mosquitos. As you know Aussie mosquitos are serious business!

• Try to avoid any shoes with heels on as it may be tricky to walk around with in grassy locations.

• If the chosen location is at the beach, please bring spare clothes and towels as it’s likely the kids will dip their feet into the water.

• Bring snacks and water bottles for after the session. It’s tricky to resume a photo session once snacks have been introduced.
